TCM Acupuncture
Acupuncture is widely known for its effectiveness in treating and managing chronic pain. And most people, at some point in their lives have dealt with pain and injury to their muscles, tendons, ligaments and bones. Contributing factors that can lead to pain include injury/trauma, diet, exercise, or overuse (repetitive injury).Acupuncture encompasses a broad range of medical practices that are based on many years of tradition. The healing techniques are based on the principle of free and uninterrupted energy flow, known as Qi, and helps to activate the natural healing processes in the patient's body. It relies on the patient's body to restore it's physical and emotional well-being.
Acupuncture involves the insertion of thin needles in specific points on the body. Each point or combination of points varies according to individualized treatments. The insertion of needles into the muscles increases circulation to area of pain or injury, decreases inflammation, and allows taut muscles to relax, resulting in quicker overall recovery and alleviation of pain.
Child & Youth Acupuncture
For children, acupuncture works to activate the body's self-healing abilities. The effects will vary and can be noticed immediately or may take several treatments to see improvements.
Acupuncture treatment provided to children at our clinic may involve needling and/or needle-free methods. At the time of your child's booking and appointment, you can request a needle-free treatment.
