Armsworthy Acupuncture & Wellness
Acupuncture
Acupuncture involves the insertion of thin needles in specific points on the body. Each point or combination of points varies according to individualized treatments. The insertion of needles into the muscles increases circulation to area of pain or injury, decreases inflammation, and allows taut muscles to relax, resulting in quicker overall recovery and alleviation of pain.
Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) - Acupuncture
If you have been in a motor vehicle accident, you are entitled to accident benefits coverage. Your primary health care practitioner (Doctor, Chiropractor, or Physiotherapist) may prescribe Acupuncture as part of your treatment plan. Our office requires a copy of the approval letter and additional paperwork related to the MVA claim.
Child & Youth Acupuncture
For children, acupuncture works to activate the body's self-healing abilities. The effects will vary and can be noticed immediately or may take several treatments to see improvements.
Acupuncture treatment provided to children at our clinic may involve needling and/or needle-free methods. At the time of your child's booking and appointment, you can request a needle-free treatment.
Massage Therapy
Our massage therapy sessions provide relaxation and therapeutic benefits to support your overall well-being. Whether you're seeking stress relief, muscle tension release, or routine maintenance, these treatments help improve circulation, reduce discomfort, and promote relaxation. Our skilled therapists use a variety of techniques tailored to your needs, ensuring a balanced approach to wellness and recovery.
Ayurveda Massage (provided by RMT)
Kansa Vatki Foot Massage is a treatment that relaxes tired feet but also balances the body's energy flow. The method uses gentle yet invigorating strokes that are applied using a traditional metal bowl of Kansa.
Champissage Indian Head Massage combines soothing massage techniques with Ayurvedic principles. Delicate strokes and pressure points are expertly applied to the head, neck and shoulders, releasing tension and promoting deep relaxation for both body and mind.
Both treatments are provided by a Registered Massage Therapist and can be directly billed to your insurer (please check your benefit coverage for massage therapy).
